9/16/2023 0 Comments Green secondary colorAttached is a link to an image showing the problem with this approach.Īs you can see, the problem is that both the primary and secondary colors need to be chosen to see the rug, and once the secondary color is chosen the other versions disappear. I tried your suggestion before starting this thread. This reply was modified 11 months, 3 weeks ago by banacan99. That’s way too complicated and too many possibilities. What I don’t want is to have 1140 color combinations to choose from – 20 colors with three possible combinations. But I need those color attributes to be searchable so that when someone searches for Brown it will return all rugs where Brown is either the primary or secondary color. So what I need to do is indicate the primary and secondary colors present in the rug. You can see that the other examples are shown in their respective colors, each of which is viewable when clicking the variation. These colors are not variations of this rug, they are the colors of this particular rug. The primary color is green and the secondary color is brown. This example shows you what I’m talking about. Here is an example of what I’m doing: image I don’t need to show the different color images because I’m already doing that using Product Variation Swatches. I’m not sure the plugin you suggested is what I need. So adding a variation with the secondary color which represents such a small portion of the design seems crazy.Īm I missing something here? Is there a way to include multiple colors per individual design? How do I do it? That seems less than ideal because even though this particular rug contains equal amounts of blue and gray, other designs exist where the primary color is 90% of the design and the secondary color is only 10%. If I can’t assign a secondary color how do I ensure that when someone searches for Blue rugs or Gray rugs that it’ll show up? Do I really have to create another variation as Gray? Now, when I create a variation I’m only allowed to choose one color per variation which prevents me from adequately categorizing these rugs. When I add attributes for my variable products I select both Blue and Gray as well as any other colors depicting the primary and secondary color schemes of my variations (there are other variables with Red and Blue, etc.) (I created a color attribute containing 20 color names.)įor example, I have a rug that has big bold stripes of two different colors: Blue and Gray. So I’m struggling to understand how to handle adding a secondary color to a single product variation.
